As a manager for a company that makes hair dryers, Gary believed his organization had no eternal significance. Then he thought. He thought about the jobs his company provided—everything from executives to warehouse laborers. The work enabled all of them to provide for their families. But Gary wanted to make more of a difference. He persuaded the company’s president to set aside some of the profits. They formed a foundation benefiting those who had lost their hair due to cancer.

This is Howard Butt Jr. of Laity Lodge. Gary gets it! Taking our faith into the workplace makes our work more than just a job. Every day opens new ways to serve others and glorify God … in the high calling of our daily work.

“Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men… “— Ephesians 6:7
