Foundation Announces Janice Flynn as CFO

We are delighted to introduce Janice Flynn as Chief Financial Officer of the H. E. Butt Foundation. Janice joins us from San Antonio-based Rackspace, the leading managed cloud provider, where she oversaw global accounting functions.

Born in Munich, Germany, Janice grew up in the United States—New York, California, and finally Texas, where she has lived since high school. “I have loved sinking my roots here,” she says. Janice and her husband, James, raised two kids in San Antonio: Grace, 18, and Sean, 16.

In addition to her deep background in finance and project management, Janice has nonprofit know-how and serves on the boards of Goodwill Industries and Boy Scouts of America Alamo Area Council. The Flynns are also engaged members of San Antonio’s Concordia Lutheran Church.

Janice is now excited about a new chapter. When she and her family were invited to spend a few days in the Canyon this summer, she noted teamwork, collaboration, motivation, and a strong desire to serve. “It was invigorating and contagious,” she says. “I decided over those three days that this was a team I wanted to be a part of.”
