
The H. E. Butt Foundation is pleased to announce a search for a director for our Capacity Building Program. As a vital component of our Community Engagement work, this program leverages leadership cohorts, peer engagements, and networking to help local nonprofit organizations operate efficiently, effectively, and cooperatively.
The work is partnership-focused and centered around nonprofit organizations serving families and children from neighborhoods that have been historically under-resourced.
The ideal candidate will be seasoned in program design, implementation, and facilitation capabilities. A background in organizational effectiveness coaching and consulting is especially attractive. Demonstrable experience with systems thinking and relationship building is also valuable.
This program director will work closely with other leaders in Community Engagement, which includes programs and initiatives focusing on San Antonio inequity, rural community solutions, and upstream solutions for mental health and wellness in youth and congregations.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, plus five years of experience in a related field. The strongest candidates will have direct experience with nonprofit capacity building and organizational effectiveness leadership, coaching or consulting.
POSITION LOCATION: The position is San Antonio-based at a centrally located office site.
ABOUT THE FOUNDATION: The H. E. Butt Foundation has been a thriving Texas-based operating foundation since 1933, focused on spiritual formation and health in families and children. Headquartered in Kerrville, Texas, with additional offices in Leakey and San Antonio, the Foundation runs five camping and retreat programs on a 1,900-acre property in the Texas Hill Country. Elsewhere, the Foundation focuses on community engagement initiatives on behalf of families and children in San Antonio, Kerrville, and Real County.
